PLANO: The Varsity Boys Basketball Team hosted the Eagles of Prince of Peace Christian School last night in their return home after several weeks of tournament play. The Cardinals were dominant from the opening tip to the final buzzer, capturing their 14th win of the year with a final score of 82-43. Junior guard
Jalen Tot lead the way for the Cardinals with 20 points and 3 assists, while sophomore forward
Jerand Bradley was all over the court scoring 20 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Junior guard
Nathan Dominick really brought the energy with 11 points and 3 steals, all in the first half. Coach Anderson was glad to see the team play up to their abilities, saying, "Proud of the energy we brought right from the get go. Our defensive pressure set the tone from the beginning of the game, sparking an early run and getting us off to a 29 point first quarter. We were able to keep that defensive intensity up on our way to a great team win." The Cardinals have two days off before another non-district home matchup with the Warriors of Liberty Christian on Friday evening.
