Nathan Dominick and
Jerand Bradley led the way with 19 and 18 points respectivey.
Jalen Tot (17 points) and
Jajuan Tot (14 points) led all scores for the Cardinals in the 3rd round, staying neck and neck with Lewisville through the 3rd quarter of the semi-final game before the Fighting Farmers pulled ahead to win a close one, 59-51. Their final game of the tournament was the third place game against Flower Mound where the Cardinals kept it close but couldn't gain the lead, as the Jaguars won 62-50.
Donavon Johnson (12 points),
Jajuan Tot (10 points), and
Nathan Dominick (10 points) all contributed quality scoring efforts in the tournament finale. Coach Anderson spoke about the latest test for his team, "The tournament was a great test playing against quality 6A competition. We played well in spots in all 4 games. In the McKinney game we had one of our best quarters of the year. In the Lewisville and Flower Mound games we were right with them for 3 quarters then didn't finish the way we needed to. A great learning experience for us as we get closer to district." The Cardinals are off today before hosting the Prince of Peace Eagles tomorrow night.
