About Girls Soccer

VGSOC

About the Program
The Varsity Girls Soccer program is led by Head Coach Jeremy Morse and Assistant Coach Omari Grant-Joseph. We compete in TAPPS 6A Division I, District 2. As a winter sport, our matches are typically held on Monday and Thursday nights.
During the season, we practice on A Days from 8:00–9:30 AM and B Days from 7:00–8:00 AM.

Coaching Philosophy
We are committed to developing the mental, physical, and spiritual character of every female student-athlete through purposeful training, competitive opportunities, and meaningful team experiences. Our coaching is grounded in the core values of education, teamwork, discipline, fun, and personal accomplishment.
Players grow through individualized instruction, collective team direction, and real-game experience.

Program Goals
Our mission is for every student-athlete to leave the JPII Girls Soccer program as a better person. By modeling leadership, service, family, and faith, we strive to empower our players to become passionate community leaders and, one day, strong women of character who love God.

Program History
Now in its 18th year, JPII Girls Soccer has reached the State Finals three times and captured the State Championship in 2022. Competing in a district that includes powerhouses like Ursuline and Bishop Lynch, we are part of the most competitive private-school soccer league in Texas.
Currently, three program alumnae are competing at the collegiate level across all three NCAA divisions.
