The John Paul II Boys Lacrosse team took on a new challenge this season, moving up to THSLL North Class C for the first time in program history. After graduating key starters and opening the year with a tough loss, the Cardinals responded with resilience and steady progress. Battling through a demanding non-district schedule, they found their rhythm and entered district play ready—going undefeated (5–0) and outscoring opponents 77–33 to earn a spot in the District Championship.
In a thrilling title game against undefeated Denton Guyer, the Cardinals showcased their grit, heart, and growth, pulling out a 9–8 victory to claim the THSLL North Class C District Championship. Fueled by a balanced attack, standout defensive play, and relentless effort, JPII finished district play a perfect 6–0 and now heads into the State Playoffs with an 11–5 record. In their first year at this level, this young team has proven that progress leads to championships—#FirstTimeEveryTime.
