PLANO: The Varsity Lacrosse team announced its All-State and All-District award winners this past weekend, with five different Cardinals earning THSLL honors. This marks the first time JPII Lacrosse athletes have been recognized with All-State and All-District selections. Head Coach
Stuart Smith spoke fondly of the team and in particular the five superlatives, "These guys led day in and day out, and it showed on the field. A few of these guys have been with me for four years and have given everything to this program, so it's really nice to see them getting recognition for their play." Two Cardinals were named to the All-State team, including senior goalie
Ryan Doyle and senior attack
Robbie Goss. Additionally, senior attack
Jerry DeCarlo was named to the All-District team, along with freshman
Nolan Zaby, who was recognized for his faceoff efforts. Senior
Luke Ritch earned Honorable Mention All-District, along with Zaby, who was also named an Honorable Mention All-District midfielder.
