Varsity Lacrosse recognized at THSLL end-of-year meetings

Five Cardinals earn All-State, All-District honors

PLANO:  The Varsity Lacrosse team announced its All-State and All-District award winners this past weekend, with five different Cardinals earning THSLL honors.  This marks the first time JPII Lacrosse athletes have been recognized with All-State and All-District selections.  Head Coach Stuart Smith spoke fondly of the team and in particular the five superlatives, "These guys led day in and day out, and it showed on the field.  A few of these guys have been with me for four years and have given everything to this program, so it's really nice to see them getting recognition for their play."  Two Cardinals were named to the All-State team, including senior goalie Ryan Doyle and senior attack Robbie Goss.  Additionally, senior attack Jerry DeCarlo was named to the All-District team, along with freshman Nolan Zaby, who was recognized for his faceoff efforts.  Senior Luke Ritch earned Honorable Mention All-District, along with Zaby, who was also named an Honorable Mention All-District midfielder.
