Sally Frame promoted to Varsity Tennis Head Coach
Current Cardinals Assistant Coach takes over for retiring Skip Parker

John Paul II High School announced today the promotion of Sally Frame to the position of Varsity Tennis Head Coach. Serving as an assistant for the last three seasons, Coach Frame has been an integral part of the Tennis Program, helping lead the Cardinals to district titles in 2019 and 2021. Sally takes over for Skip Parker, who announced his retirement to the team last week.

"Not every school has a coach with the qualifications of Sally Frame," said Assistant Athletic Director John Griffin. "What she has meant to the Tennis community as a whole carries into what she can do for the JPII Tennis program. We are so excited that she decided to continue on as our newest head coach and cannot wait to see how this program continues to grow and compete year in and year out for a state championship."

Sally Frame has been contributing to the tennis community for over thirty years as an outstanding coach, teacher, tournament director, creative events programmer, and community volunteer. Among many other honors and awards, Frame has been recognized as Texas' "Pro of the Year", along with the 2018 Lloyd Sessions Educational Merit Award, and was most recently recognized in Las Vegas by the USTPA after receiving the prestigious Industry Excellence Award.

Frame's teaching career started at John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, TX. Sally enjoyed a 25- year career at Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson, TX as Director of Junior Tennis, Summer Tennis and Sports Camp Director, and Tournament Director. Sally has earned certification at the highest levels by the USPTA, USPTR, and USTA, and is certified as a USTA High Performance Coach while coaching at many USTA National events.

Sally Frame played college tennis at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, TX where she graduated cum laude with degrees in Business Marketing and Management, and grew up playing junior tennis in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Henry J. Kaiser High School before moving to Texas. Sally currently resides in Richardson with her tennis playing husband David.
