Coach Azevedo is the Boys Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach, and this is his second year at JPII, where he also teaches Social Studies. Coach Azevedo played Olympic Development for his state in a U-14 and U-15 capacity. As a midfielder in high school he earned all-state and all conference honors his senior year. He toured Europe with a U-17 team with the Akron, Ohio East-West Soccer Ambassadors playing in youth tournaments in Austria and Italy. Later he played on a U-18 team that toured Southern Brazil and played against the academy teams from Sao Paulo Futebol Clube, Portuguesa and Guarani. He has coached at PanAmerican Christian Academy Sao Paulo, Brazil in Futsal and soccer. In November of 2003 his team won the Little 8 Rancho tournament in futsal. He also coached the TCA Junior Varsity boys soccer teams. More recently, he coached Bryan Adams Junior Varsity Boys' soccer and in 2016 and 2017 his teams won back to back district championships. Coach Azevedo is married to his wife Angela and they reside in Richardson with their children Christian, Andrew and Annika.
