Jeff Jackson

Jeff Jackson's life journey has taken him across several diverse locations. Born in Orange County, CA, he later lived in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Edgewood, MD, and Greenville, TX, where his family settled after his father, Lt. Col Lionel A Jackson’s retirement from the Army. Jeff graduated from high school in Garland, TX, and later pursued his studies in Waco, TX, at Baylor University, before settling in Austin, TX, and currently calling Plano, TX, home.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics, earned in 1997 from Baylor University, a testament to his commitment to academics alongside his athletic achievements. He is TEA-certified in both Math and Physics. In the realm of sports, he boasts an impressive list of accomplishments, including being inducted into the Baylor Sports Hall of Fame. His athletic achievements include representing the US Virgin Islands as a 2000 Olympian in Sydney, Australia, and participating in the 1999 World Championships in Seville, Spain. Jeff also stood out as the Southwest Conference Record Holder in 110m Hurdles and achieved success in various national and international events.

In his personal life, Jeff is supported by his family, including his wife Dr. Amanda Jackson Ed.D, and his children, Edith and Jett. Edith is a graduate of Plano Senior High, while Jett is currently part of the JPII community. Jeff’s dedication to his family draws from the gratitude and inspiration of his wife's pursuit and attainment of her doctorate degree while raising a family.

Jeff has been a valued member of the JPII community for seven years, contributing his experience and knowledge. Before joining JPII, he worked at North Garland High School, his Alma Mater. His initial attraction to JPII was driven by the pursuit of excellence, a value he continues to uphold in his role at the school.

At JPII, Jeff is particularly inspired by the exemplary students who not only excel in faith and academics but also in sports and extracurricular activities. He values their humility and generosity. Jeff shares his Christian faith openly and freely, a distinction from his experiences in public school, and cherishes the opportunity to pray with his students. His favorite Bible verse, "I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13), has been a source of strength and inspiration through hardships and valleys in his life. Jeff finds JPII special for the sense of community and shared values, emphasizing the role of coaches, and teachers, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals in the pursuit of success for the community of believers.
