Brent Hugg brings passion, deep faith, and a wealth of experience to his role as Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Football Coach at JPII. After a record-setting college soccer career at Lyon College, Brent transitioned to coaching in 2007 at W.T. White High School in Dallas. There, he coached football and soccer, ultimately becoming Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach. In 2014, he joined McKinney North High School, coaching wide receivers and tight ends and contributing to six consecutive playoff appearances. Driven by his Catholic school roots, Coach Hugg returned to the Catholic education system in 2022, joining the JPII faculty as a Math Teacher and All Saints Catholic School as Athletic Director.
He prides himself on developing players who excel both on and off the field, with many going on to play at the collegiate and even NFL levels. Among his proudest moments was watching former player Nnamdi Madubuike of the Baltimore Ravens secure a playoff victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A product of Catholic education himself, Brent graduated from Immaculate Conception Elementary School and Catholic High School for Boys in Little Rock, Arkansas. These formative years instilled in him the values of faith, discipline, and community that continue to shape his life and coaching philosophy.
At JPII, Coach Hugg is dedicated to building a Christ-centered football program that fosters strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and growth in faith and character.
He and his wife, Caroline, are active members of the All Saints Catholic Community, where their four children attend school. Their 17-year commitment to All Saints and their deep-rooted belief in Catholic education are cornerstones of their family life. They are honored to serve the JPII and All Saints communities.
