About the Program
The Varsity Baseball Team is led by Head Coach Kyle Hay and Assitant Coaches Brian Bern, Rod Denzer, Richie Laurin, and Michael Schmeck. The Baseball Program competes in TAPPS Division 1 District 2 with a total of 51 student-athletes. We will host tournament games on Thursday and Friday through the month of February and begin district game that are help on Tuesday and Friday nights for the remainder of the season. The program believes in a full year cycle based on heavy strength and conditioning during the Fall semester, In-season games and practices during the Spring semester, meeting nearly everyday. During the season, we roll out 3 teams, Varsity / JV Red / JV Navy. As a Freshman, we do not make cuts, allowing everyone a year to develop under our coaching. The game is about having fun so we like to include that in what we do on a daily basis.
Coaching Philosophy
Our coaching philosophy is, through the game of baseball and a coaching style rooted in education of players and their own self-discovery, to in still values of understanding how to enjoy the process of competition and relating the sport to life lessons in order to develop quality men who are loving husbands, caring fathers and faith based community leaders.

Program History
Coach Hay will begin his first season as head coach after assisting the founder of the program, Brian Gaffney, for 5 years. Coach Gaffney led the Cardinals to an impressive .620 District winning percentage in the highly competitive TAPPS Division 1 District 1. Since 2010, the baseball program has won 2 District Championships, made 8 consecutive state playoff appearances, 2 Area Championships, and 2 Regional Finalists.
The program has produced 2 District MVPs, 60+ All-District honorees, 17 All-State honorees, and 17 players that have gone on to play college baseball through 2018. The class of 2019 will add at least 3 more player to that list, with players that have signed prior to the start of the season.
