PLANO: The Varsity Boys Basketball team hosted Bishop Lynch for the second meeting of the two teams this season. The Cardinals dropped a close one on the road to BL earlier in the year and looked to avenge the 54-60 loss on Friday Night. The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter and led by one at the break. The Friars came storming back in the second half to steal a win on the road, with a final score of 67-53. Coach Anderson was proud of his team's performance saying, "Awesome atmosphere! We couldn't have asked for better crowd support on a Friday night! We were able to get off to a great start leading the game 12-2.
Nathan Dominick sparked the run scoring the first 9 points of the game. Unfortunately, from that point on BL stepped up their level of play and we weren't able to match. All credit goes to them for a well played game and beating us on our home court. We will rebound and play our best game of the year Tuesday vs PCA." Standout Performances include junior
Nathan Dominick (20 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block), junior
Donavon Johnson (12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks), and junior
Jajuan Tot (6 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds). The Cardinals sit at 3-2 in TAPPS 6A-D2, good for second place, and now look ahead to their next district matchup, an away game on Tuesday at Prestonwood.
